After the success of the first edition of Giallo Christmas, Gubbio returns more energized than ever to immerse spectators and readers in a magical crime, mystery, and horror atmosphere.
This year’s theme is even more grounded in everyday life—one might say in current events: the guiding theme of Giallo Christmas 2024 will be True Crime, inspired by the strong Italian and international interest in cold cases and unsolved crime stories.
Alvaro Fiorucci will discuss the case of Sonia Marra, the girl from Specchia who vanished into thin air on November 16 2006; Laura Sgrò will address the famous case of Emanuela Orlandi, missing since 1983; the dark atmosphere of criminal Milan in the 1970s will be brought back to life through the account of Stefano Nazzi; and to conclude, the case of Chico Forti will be analyzed together with Roberta Bruzzone.
The event offers a wide variety of content and activities for the public, which—as always—go well beyond simple talks: a crime room, a horror writing workshop for both young and adult participants, role-playing games with the Alkimia Association, and a musical performance.
As it awaits Christmas, Gubbio once again turns to yellow noir.
