Femina

The Abbondanza/Bertoni Company, one of Italy’s most accredited and recognized dance companies, presents its new show dedicated to the female universe.
“With a makeshift disguise and minimal movements, the flow draws us into the game of female identity, effeminating, masculinizing, and disentangling the four performers. Disembodying
and incorporating themselves and each other: two poles, two physical places on opposite banks of the same river. Complicit in their very appearance, they mirror each other, mirroring movements, compressed and coated with a sound accompaniment that magnetizes and flows without any real interruption or space for melody, but only for the aridity of the rhythm.
Femina is the space for translation and hallucination on stage of possible forms and names of the feminine and feminine contemporary world.”
