In a charming setting of torches and flags, on the evening of August 14th, the Torneo dei Quartieri (Tournament of the Districts) takes place. This event, first held in 1980, is organized by the Maggio Eugubino Association in collaboration with the District Associations, the Società Balestrieri, and the Flag Throwers of Gubbio.
The crossbow shooting tournament is preceded by a historical parade that competes each year for a highly coveted prize. The event is widely appreciated by locals and tourists alike, thanks to the enthusiastic participation of people of all ages and many young people involved in every stage of its organization. The charm of the Middle Ages, the colors, the elegance of the parade, and the guaranteed fun—also thanks to the high quality of the food stalls scattered throughout the city squares—make this one of the most important Ferragosto events in Umbria.

The event involves the four districts of Sant’Andrea, San Giuliano, San Martino, and San Pietro.
